Le nom \u00ab acier inoxydable \u00bb fait naturellement penser que ce type d&#039;acier ne rouille pas, mais en fait, l&#039;acier inoxydable n&#039;est pas exempt de rouille, il est relativement difficile \u00e0 rouiller.<\/p>\n<p>La r\u00e9sistance \u00e0 la corrosion de l&#039;acier inoxydable d\u00e9pend principalement de la teneur en chrome. Apr\u00e8s avoir fait bouillir un morceau d&#039;acier inoxydable pendant 30 minutes et l&#039;avoir fait tremper pendant 24 heures, la migration du chrome \u00e0 la surface de chaque d\u00e9cim\u00e8tre carr\u00e9 ne doit pas d\u00e9passer 0,4 mg.<\/p>\n<p>Contrairement \u00e0 la solution d&#039;acide ac\u00e9tique, l&#039;eau de th\u00e9 a une acidit\u00e9 tr\u00e8s faible (le pH de l&#039;eau de th\u00e9 varie selon le type et la concentration, g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement entre 5 et 7), et a un effet beaucoup moins corrosif sur l&#039;acier inoxydable. En supposant que du th\u00e9 avec un pH de 5,5 soit utilis\u00e9 pour de telles exp\u00e9riences d&#039;immersion, il faut environ 246 heures pour faire migrer 0,4 mg de chrome, soit 10 jours cons\u00e9cutifs pour immerger, ce qui ne peut \u00eatre r\u00e9alis\u00e9 que s&#039;il n&#039;y a pas de film de passivation \u00e0 la surface de l&#039;acier inoxydable et que la r\u00e9action a lieu tout le temps.<\/p>\n<p>En pratique, le th\u00e9 ne bout pas dans une tasse en acier inoxydable pendant 30 minutes et, compte tenu des facteurs de passivation du film, la vitesse de r\u00e9action r\u00e9elle sera plus lente.
