Dalam beberapa tahun kebelakangan ini, cawan plastik popular dengan ramai orang kerana bentuknya yang boleh berubah, warna terang dan ciri anti-jatuh. Apabila air panas atau air mendidih diisi dalam botol air plastik, makromolekul boleh dengan mudah mendakan dan larut ke dalam air, yang berbahaya kepada kesihatan manusia selepas diminum.
