Deze container is mogelijk de voorloper van de vacu\u00fcmfles.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 150%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; line-height: 150%; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"> Maar de eerste echte thermosfles ter wereld heet eigenlijk \u201cDewar\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 150%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; line-height: 150%; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">In 1643 ontwikkelden de Italianen de kwikbarometer en presenteerden ze de beroemde vacu\u00fcmtheorie. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 150%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; line-height: 150%; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Deze theorie was van groot belang voor de opkomst van de thermosfles, maar in de daaropvolgende twee\u00ebnhalve eeuw werd er geen echte thermosfles uitgevonden.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 150%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; line-height: 150%; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">In 1879 volgde de Duitse natuurkundige Vine het voorstel van professor Hollid op om het vloeibare gas in het laboratorium te kunnen bewaren. Hij maakte een container met twee lagen dun glas met in het midden een vacu\u00fcm. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 150%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; line-height: 150%; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">In 1881 schreef hij het proefschrift \u201cVain Holrid Bottle\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 150%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; line-height: 150%; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">In 1890 verbeterde de Britse chemicus Dunmus Giuard de Wainhoridd-fles door een laag zilver op de wand van de fles te coaten, wat de warmtestraling kan verminderen en het warmteverlies door het glas kan vertragen. Zo werd de Joal-fles geboren.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 150%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; line-height: 150%; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">De uitvinder van onze moderne thermosfles is Sir James Dewar, een wetenschapper uit het Verenigd Koninkrijk die vooral onderzoek doet naar vloeistoffen met extreem lage temperaturen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 150%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; line-height: 150%; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">In 1892 werd Dewar uitgenodigd om de cursus &quot;Liquefied Gas&quot; te volgen bij het British Institute of Science. Om de lessen te verbeteren, vroeg hij voordat hij ging een glasblazer genaamd Berger om een dubbellaags glazen container voor hem te maken en de twee wanden te coaten met kwik om de warmteoverdracht aanzienlijk te verminderen. Vervolgens evacueerde hij de lucht tussen de twee lagen opnieuw en verscheen de vacu\u00fcmfles. Deze fles zonder lucht is de eerste vacu\u00fcmfles ter wereld. Deze vacu\u00fcmfles wordt &quot;Dewar flask&quot; genoemd. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 150%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; line-height: 150%; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Tegenwoordig worden de vroege vacu\u00fcmproducten van Dewar nog steeds bewaard in het London Institute in het Verenigd Koninkrijk. Dewar besteedde destijds niet veel aandacht aan de uitvinding van de vacu\u00fcmfles, maar hechtte wel veel belang aan de theorie van het extraheren van lucht en vroeg patent aan voor deze theorie. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 150%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; line-height: 150%; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">In 1902 zag de Duitser Berger de enorme potenti\u00eble markt voor vacu\u00fcmflessen, dus begon hij vacu\u00fcmflessen te verkopen. Twee jaar later won hij het patent voor de vacu\u00fcmflessen op zijn eigen naam. Hij ontdekte dat de glazen flesvoering gemakkelijk brak, dus maakte hij een omhulsel van nikkel om de flesvoering te beschermen. In het begin werden vacu\u00fcmflessen voornamelijk gebruikt in laboratoria, ziekenhuizen en expedities, en daarna geleidelijk aan kwamen ze in het dagelijks leven terecht.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"line-height: 150%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px; line-height: 150%; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">In 1904 deed Burg, een arbeider die glaswerk blaast in Berlijn, onderzoek en voegde een thermische mantel toe aan de Giuar-fles, zodat er containers op de markt zijn die hete koffie of zwarte thee kunnen bewaren. Sindsdien zijn er allerlei soorten thermosflessen op de markt gekomen. Mensen vinden dat het thermische isolatie-effect van de thermosflesstop het slechtste deel van de fles is.
